My life.... WOW... there isn't much to say... really.... So you'd better switch section. lol No seriously, I've compiled a brief recount of my life and how I started to get into the entertainment business. For more details, please have a look at my resume.
I was born in a small town called Sorel-Tracy in the province of Québec, Canada. I'm the youngest of two children and I was raised by a single mother, though my father has always been an important part of my life. I have always been surrounded by a lot of love, care and affection. When I was young, I was more like a tom-boy; into sports, playing with guys, dressing with boy clothes. I was a straight-A student and took my studies very seriously because it was important for me to always be the best! I played basketball for 3 years with my high school team and we had a lot of success in the province of Quebec. I also had a talent in drawing and painting and took lessons for 8 years and won many drawing contests.
Throughout my childhood, I have wanted to be a hairdresser, an architect, a psychologist and an environnementalist until I was about 12 years-old when I started being passionated about american movies, which allowed me to learn English pretty well. My favorite movie star was Macaulay Culkin! I was fascinated by Hollywood, mostly by child stars, and I wanted to be part of that American Dream. I was kind of living in a big fantasy! Growing up, I knew I wanted to be an actress or a movie director but I didn't know exactly how to achieve my goal. Since I have always had good grades in school, it was important for me to go far in my education, so I went to the University of Quebec in Montreal to complete a Bachelor's degree in Communications with a specialty in cinema.
Through my studies, I started to get into fashion by entering a modeling agency, making many photo shoots and fashion shows (Jean Airoldie, Luc Laroche, Nadia Toto, Bikini Village, etc.) and participating in beauty pageants like Miss Hawaïian Tropic Canada 2000 and 2001, Miss Maillot 2001 and Miss Quebec 2000. Making those contests helped me to get contacts and contracts! I got to appear in a couple of publicities and I had a small part in the movie "Hysteria" which is the story of the famous band Def Leppard. After entering the contest "Miss Doyoulookgood 2002" just for the fun of it, I won first place over thousands of participants. That's really what helped me the most to receive many modeling offers.
For 4 years, I worked as a free lance model and actress full time. In late 2004, I won the Hockey Gladiator Girl contest where I was chosen among about a thousand models accross North America. I also had the opportunity to be the host of a cultural TV program called Shock Magazine on Canal Vox and I got to interview many Quebec singers and celebrities. I liked television, I liked the animation and the interviews, but each time I was chatting with a famous singer about to climb on stage to do his show, I was thinking to myself "I'm the one who wants to be interviewed and rock the crowd!!!" In 2005, I was offered a first role in a musical played in Marieville all summer long. That was the first time I had to actually act, sing and dance at the same time and I loved it. That's where I discovered my true passion : singing. With that in mind and with a lot of focus, everything happened really fast. I got an offer to join a band to go tour in Asia and I gave up everything to jump on this opportunity. That's where I met Paskal Thériault and that we built "Mythical Number" together. For 3 years, we toured in Indonesia twice, in Seoul, Hong Kong, Russia and United States.
After more than 400 shows in Asia, including a show for the US army at the Kunsan Air Base in South Korea, Paskal and I from Mythical Number are working hard on our album and project and we can't wait to start touring the world with our material!
Besides working, I love to travel and discover new cultures, write lyrics, read about spirituality and personal growth, spend time with my family and friends, work out, surf the net, build web sites, see concerts, discover new bands on MySpace. I like all kinds of music from classical to heavy but I'm mostly into rock, of course (gothic, punk, metal, alternative, industrial...). I don't watch TV a lot, but I must admit that I'm a huge fan of "Smallville".
My futur goal is to achieve great success with Mythical Number and continue to tour the world and try to touch as many souls as possible through our music and lyrics. I would like to be a positive influence on people and help them achieve a certain awakening. My ultime goal would be to contribute, in my own little way, to the expansion of the collective consciousness in the world!!!
And don't forget: even if your goals sometimes seem impossible to achieve, never let anybody destroy your dreams...
LIVE THE MOMENT !
